Room 206, Saturday Morning

When Thorin awoke this morning, he found himself in possession of a number of things that he did not normally have. Chief among them being a bosom.

He squawked indignantly, touching his suddenly bountiful chest and then face to find that he managed grow a fuller beard as a female than as a male. Which. Um. Unfair and rude. But only par for the course since fate was ever cruel to him.

With a sigh, he pushed himself out of bed, wincing as the movement caused things to bounce. He needed to find something to bind his chest down.

"I have heard talk of days or weekends where men became women, and vice-versa," she said, frowning. "So that is you, Thorin?"

"Yes." He sighed. "This land is full of mischief."

"I could have told you that," Cassandra said mildly. "And-- have. Are you all right?"

"None of my clothing fits properly and my beard is filled in better," Thorin totally whined. With only royal pride. "I have had better mornings."

"I suppose you could borrow some of my shirts if you wished," Cassandra said, "Though I am... rather taller than you are."

Rude.

"I would rather have on armor." And feel less out of his own skin about this.

Oh, Thorin. Be less pathetic. "My armor would most certainly not fit you."

HE WOULD NOT AND YOU CAN'T MAKE HIM.

"I would make my own, but I know not how long this sorcery will last."

"Considering it is a Saturday, my guess would be it will extend until the end of the weekend," Cassandra said. "May I step inside?"

Thorin took a step back, allowing her in with a sigh. "My roommate informs me that I have need of a 'bra'."

Which he was dubious about.

"Feminine undergarments," Cassandra said, nodding. "I... see."

He had busty girl problems. Wait until he attempted the stairs and angrily wondered why they were trying to assault him.

"I prefer to be myself." But the beard wasn't bad. He could keep the beard.

Cassandra was not that busty, unfortunately. Hopefully Thorin would not mind having to shove his boobs back into a bra all day.

"Yes, but you are not yourself," Cassandra said. Dryly.

And maybe with a bit of judgment in there, Thorin. "I hardly see the point in crying about it any further."

Hey, wait until she had bits she shouldn't have!

"I am not weeping or tugging my beard in distress," Thorin replied peevishly. Then he sighed and sat down on his bed. "It will pass and things will return to normal."

If she had bits she shouldn't have, she would approach the situation rationally. Especially if she was certain no mage was involved.

"It will pass," Cassandra agreed. "Until such time, you are welcome to borrow any of my clothes that may be of use to you. That should be the end of it, unless this is malicious after all."

"I better not be. Or they will find the axes of dwarves are sharp indeed," he replied darkly. Because who didn't like a good threat.

Only then did he seem to remember that it was rather early for a visit.

"Have you need of something?"

"I had hoped for a spar," Cassandra confessed, "But considering your current... state... that does not appear to be an option."

"My apologies," Thorin replied dryly. "I will better plan such things next time."

"I would suggest sending the island an angrily-worded note," Cassandra said.

She was still put off by how thin the Veil appeared to be around here.

"'Prince Thorin of Erebor objects most strenuously to the sudden addition of a bosom.'"

"'Please cease your reckless magic immediately'," Cassandra said.

That got him to snort in amusement. "I am certain they will listen."

"It is always worth a try," Cassandra said. She shook her head. "Will you come with me to my room, or should I fetch some items for you?"

Thorin stood and raised himself to his full height. Which wasn't particularly impressive, but still. "I will accompany you."

No. Thorin was still very short.

"Very well," Cassandra said easily.

She took a few steps back out of the room. "How have you been, your... present state... notwithstanding?"

She was not fantastic at small talk, but she had been spending an inordinate amount of time talking to Garik lately, and she could try.
